Maybe you have all your shopping done, or maybe you are just beginning. Either way, here are a few last minute gift ideas and some of my favorites to gift! Enjoy! (click on the links or photos to go to each website)

Kids first:

Hello Bible Box: We love this subscription box plan. There are several ages to choose from, but it’s always something we look forward to. You can also specify how many children you have and they will send the appropriate amount of crafts. This is excellent if your house is bursting with toys and you’d rather the grandparents give your children something more meaningful.

Little Kicker Books: We love Little Kicker! This is my Uncle and Aunt’s company that helps children see how loved, cherished and equipped they are through fun stories with farm animals. These books are simply precious with each one written and illustrated by my Aunt Sandy. The main character is a donkey, Little Kicker. There are 8 books in the set and a plush donkey that is great to sleep with at night. A great set to add to throughout the years! Click here for my full Little Kicker Blog Post!

Not Consumed Bible Studies: Love this family and their desire to help home-school parents but also any parent teach their children more about the Lord and His Word. They have several booklet-like Bible studies to choose from. The format is great and you can pick which age is most appropriate for you child.

ABC Scripture Cards: These are so great. Print them off, laminate them, bind them together with a ring and have fun memorizing scripture with your children. For a blog pots I did on these click here.

Jesus Storybook Bible: Every home needs one of these books. They are so beautiful and tie Jesus into every story from the Old Testament to the New. I think I may enjoy reading this more than the children! If you don’t have one, get one! Great to give at birthday parties too.

Crew & Company: I recently stumbled up on this ministry and love it! I purchased the teen devos for my daughter as a gift this Christmas and also the serve cards for our family to focus on this month, as serving is our goal. They have several other unique gift ideas to help with advent, giving thanks, serving, the names of God, etc..

For Girls Like You Ministries: This is the late Winter Pitts ministry that her husband and daughters have kept up since her passing a few years ago. The magazine is great for girls aged 8-12 and there are several books for tweens as well as resources for parents on the site.

Elizabeth and Jim George have several books for tween boys and girls. We have loved them!

Onto the grown-ups:

Paul David Tripp New Morning Mercies: a great devo! One of the best, if you ask me. Scripture plus many powerful truths about God’s grace and its ability to save us once and for all but also everyday.

Shannon Popkin’s Control Girl or Comparison Girl: First of all, Shannon is a dear, dear friend of mine. I just love how the Lord weaved our friendship together! I also love her books and her desire for women to walk in the freedom from control and comparison only the Lord can provide. A great gift for yourself or maybe a small group of friends so you all can do one of the studies together. You won’t be sorry!!

Streams in the Desert Devotional: This is my go-to gift for someone who is walking through death, loss or just hard times. (my amazon account says I’ve purchased 14 times!) Y’all 2020 was hard! Anyone can benefit from the powerful, hopeful God-truths this book brings with each day’s reading.

The Life Application Study Bible: You’ve heard me talk about how awesome a Bible with commentary is…why not get one for a loved one to help them go deeper into God’s Word? I love how it helps me understand Scripture better, shines light on things I didn’t know and helps me apply it to my life. It’s a must, friends!

Beth Moore, Jesus: 90 days with the One and Only: This book is great if you are longing to know more about Jesus. Each day has scripture and a Bible lesson to help really know who He is, who He says we are, His perfect plan for us, etc… There are also questions for reflection and application.

Gifts in honor or memory of someone:

We love looking through the catalogue of World Vision and picking out gifts in honor of a loved one but that benefits people we don’t even know. Two goats? A pig? A part of a well? So many options and not just overseas, many options for the US as well. Consider doing this as a family to serve the poor and marginalized. You can even adopt a child. We’ve not done this yet, but will when the time is right. Compassion International is also a great ministry with similar options.

Well, there you go, a few of my favorite things! Please, I would love to hear from you ~ can you add to this list? And of course, let me know if you end up getting anything above for your family and friends! Can’t wait to hear about it.

Love you all, Sarah ♥️

    Dear Sarah:
I notice “Streams in the Desert” on your recommended gift list. Starting in 1957, I have used this devotional many, many times–and so did your Nana. I have her copy which she marked consistently with the daily challenges during the desert years and then later in their AR life. In addition to the spiritual gift, the devotional is a historical gem.

Love your 2018 Christmas devotional with Jim and Lamentations!

    Gentle hugs,
    Berta
