Sunrise: the moment the top of the sun’s disc first breaks the plane of the horizon in the morning, considered as a view or spectacle.
Constant. It never fails that each day the sun will rise. There may be clouds in the way, but we can trust it is there, doing what it does. Marking the morning, lighting the day, showing the way.
“His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth. His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden.”
Habakkuk 3:3-4
“His splendor was like the sunrise…” His magnificence, His brightness like the sunrise. Constant, always there, always with us. Showing us His love for us.
The dawn brings promise of Him- His beauty, His majesty, His greatness, strength and power. His sovereignty.
The constant before the world began. The One who started it all and loves us all.
The One who chose to bend down to us through Jesus Christ and give us the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Him and eternal life with Him. And the gift of His Holy Spirit in the meantime.
He is so good!
Each day when we see or think of the sunrise, I pray we are reminded of our Heavenly Father who is good, perfect, great, in control and worthy of our trust and adoration. ♥️
